John Holm, a native of Northern California, draws from his days of surfing Santa Cruz and Southern California while attending Art Center in the late 60s. As a Naval Aviator stationed in Monterey he began to paint oils. 30 years in advertising took him to Madison Avenue and Seattle where he now resides. He surfs and paints the Olympic peninsula.
The Pacific summer sun shines through kelp veined glass, as it pauses briefly before the days become shorter. There is both movement and calm as surfers make the most of the longest day of the year.
This is a limited, signed giclee print of 300. Canvas giclees are printed with archival inks.
